Our Story

Financial excellence was established in 1990 to serve the people in South Orange County with professional Income Tax Services.   Our prepararers use to use professionals to perform their taxes but after being audited and owing a lot of money they decided it was time to learn the tax system themselves so they wouldn’t have to go unprepared in the future.   They didn’t realize how difficult it was going to be to learn the tax code and become proficient in implementing it to the best of their advantage.   The combination of our preparers returns were so complex that they had to learn almost all aspects of personal and business returns.   With this knowledge in hand our preparers decided to start their own business preparing returns for other clients with an emphasis on quality and thus Financial Excellence was born.

Enrolled Agent

All returns prepared by Financial Excellence are reviewed by Jacqueline Rawson, an Enrolled Agent (EA).   Along with Tax Attorneys, Enrolled Agents are the only other entity recognized by the IRS to represent clients in front of the IRS.   To become an Enrolled Agent, an individual has to pass four sections (each 4 hours in length) of a formal test adminstered by the IRS.   Unlike other certifications, an EA’s test is only concentrated on income tax preparation and as such is well respected by the IRS for representation.
